Cutting dies will always cut the die needed for your project – and then, BONUS, leave you with the “outie”.    No better way to use both pieces than with black cardstock to create a unique silhouette (yadda, yadda – stamping with black ink, been there and done that).  Perfectly cut and be able to fit everything back together using the process I write about in Black Card Stock Silhoettes article on the Paper Crafts page.

Sketches can be a great inspiration for your scrapbook pages, I’m using them more of late since I participate on a message board.    This first sketch is for a two page layout, going to let you take a look at it (come up with your own pages) before sharing mine.  Check out the scrapbooking tab for the sketch.

Always learning

I’ve done MANY quilt designs in the past, but stumbled upon a way to ‘piece’ together patterns with much greater accuracy: Temporarily secure a scrap just a tad (1/4″) shorter than the finished piece and center on a grid.  Work with guidelines AND the grid to place patterned papers.  Talk about the details in my Quilt Block(s) article on the Paper Crafts page.
