Fancy Folds

Posted March 28, 2014 By scrappy

Paper crafts has a new design article, in two striking variations.   Don’t lose the work you put into the front and interior of a card.  Both can display at the same time with this unique accordion fold design.

Product ID’s

Posted March 28, 2014 By scrappy

Spent some time thinking about how I want to list Item Numbers for the Stampin’ UP products I use for my articles going forward.  I recognize that I do tend to be inconsistent.  It occurred to me that what is “current” now, may not be when you’re browsing through some of the older articles…and all of the articles will get “older” over time.  Conversely, even though an item might be retired from Stampin’ UP, there is a potential to find it on Amazon, Ebay and even Stampin’ UPs own clearance sales.   Since Card Stock can be purchased in a variety of ways and sizes, I’ll be keeping with just listing the name of the color in the project specifics, but if I have/can locate the item number for all other materials, inks and tools, I will list it.

almost forgot one!  Grunge, Distress?  Whatever you call it, I made a quick technique video to give your patterned paper a worn/vintage feel.  No article, but look on my videos page under scrapbooking techniques to give it a view.  A lot of crafters have filmed this before… but not with my zealousness.  Destruction is a nice change of pace from construction and possibly therapeutic as well.

So many new articles!  3 new cards in paper crafts in time for Easter, Mother’s Day, Fathers Day and graduations!  3 new tips and tricks, and my first t&t video.  Another scrapbook layout idea (and a tickler to the upcoming banners and pennants video) using the white embossing paste.  Phew!  Now that all of that is in, time to keep creating!

Getting caught up on my webpage today – have a BUNCH to add.  I have been busy creating and think before the day is done will have something new to share on each page of my website (some pages are at least 2 articles behind).  The latest is the ‘Sew Amazing’ Card design which fits pretty much any occasion.  See the article on the Paper Crafts page.

Since I was putting together some new Clear Stamp Sets, I created a 5 minute video showing a neat trick that will keep your clear stamps ‘stuck’ to the acrylic block during use.  The article is the latest on my “tips and tricks” page.

March product Picks

Posted March 1, 2014 By scrappy

My March selections have been made and they are all about Spring.  It’s been a long winter down here in Georgia, and I’m anxiously awaiting for the first flowers to pop up.  Coordinating framelits and stamps are always versatile.  As always, I’ve got a quick link to ordering from my home page.  Stay tuned for some fun projects with incorporating some or all of these picks this month.
