paper weave technique

Posted February 16, 2014 By scrappy

I got a little carried away with my paper weave technique and made a few different projects (still have a few more in mind as well).  The video is published (Video page – Scrapbooking techniques – “Paper Weave Scrapbook technique“) as well as the associated article on the scrapbooking page.  Off to do MORE weaving!

Designer Series Paper Stacks

Posted February 10, 2014 By scrappy

Rec’d the new and “improved” DSP stacks…and they’re all riddled with “white”. Not sure whose brain child that was- severely limits their versatility. Hunt around for the retired versions…  Sale section of my Stampin’ UP website, amazon and ebay.  Ugh.  Suppose you’ll end up with several ‘retired’ colors, but it’s that or pair all these new papers with white, white, or white.

paper weaving

paper weaveSomething to do while watching the Olympics (I cannot JUST watch)…  Working on paper weaving and you can see from the scribbled notes, have a lot to share – very soon.   Hope to publish a ’how-to’ video and have a card kit on etsy that makes use of this very versatile technique.  This is a ‘plain-ish’ perpendicular pattern.. much more in the works.

I think I have all my latest articles up to date:  The Birthday Easel card that highlights a paper folding focal as well as two of my product picks for this month: Natural Composition Specialty paper and the Brushed Gold Card stock:  video and Etsy card kit.   I’ve used both of these folding patterns in my scrapbooking as well, but not without a little “tweeking”.  Check out the “flatten” article on the tips and tricks page for some suggestions.  hmmm.. all caught up on paperwork, so ready to start something new.  In the hopper for this month: paperweaving (very cool whether you create cards or scrapbooks) and single stamp cards and borders.   Coming soon!

February product picks

Posted February 1, 2014 By scrappy

My February product picks are in, and it was ROUGH narrowing it down to just 3!  So visit the home page to take a look.  Also, the layout video is published and the articles been added on the scrapbook page (under the embossing pastes, since I’m still playing with that product and finding more and more techniques that are SO PERFECT for scrapbookers).  Looking forward to a new month of projects to share!
