Thank You Panel Card

Posted November 27, 2013 By scrappy

If you’ve finished all your Christmas Cards for this holiday – or just need a break, try out my ‘Say Thanks’ panel card.  A personalized thank you for a holiday party host/hostess, visiting/dinner with the family or all those wonderful Christmas gifts you receive is always appreciated.  A neutral design, with plenty of ‘sheen’ (not sparkles!) comes together quickly.  Make several to have on hand whenever you feel the urge to ‘Say Thanks’.

Wax Paper to the Rescue!  Avoiding those delicate/intricate die cutters because it is JUST so darn time consuming removing the finished die cut?   I used to also.  Not to mention having to poke out all those innies from the finished piece and pick out all the left behind innies in your sizzlit.  Not saying you still won’t have some stragglers – but they come out so MUCH faster and cleaner with a layer of wax paper.  Check out “Frustration Saver” in Tips and Tricks.

Fun, Fun, Fun!  Encrusted Jewels by Fran Tage collections are a blast to play with and the focus for my December 2013 Christmas Card Design.   2 thumbs up.

title shot

See Article/design under Paper Crafts.    I did begin with a greeting card because I was concerned about glitter and what not in my scrapbooks.  I tend to shy away from using materials that GET ALL OVER THE PLACE.  But this stuff stays where you put it.   Expect to see some scrapbook layouts which also focus on this product.   Happy stampin’… tic tock, tic tock…  Christmas is ONLY a month away!

Another great scrapbook design that will fit into a stocking this holiday is the FLIP scrapbook!   Comes together in minutes and leaves you with plenty of area to fill with your memories.  This is still small enough to complete, start to finish, in an afternoon – but larger than the mini scrapbook I introduced late last week.  Check out the article under scrapbooking to find out more and link to the video.

Have a stocking stuffer project that will make those impersonal gift cards more personal, not only gift cards, but some folded cash as well.  Check out the article in papercrafts.

The Mini Scrapbook article is completed – phew.   One album cover, 10 pages and a gift box later and I’ve got 3 videos to show for it! Check it out under scrapbooking.  Part of this months focus on Designer Series Papers and hopefully helping out folks with ideas for things to fill up those stockings this Christmas.  Although, I must say – this mini scrapbook is a great gift anytime of year, or to create a keepsake for yourself.  Enjoy.

Kit elementsChugging along on my second stocking stuffer kit, a mini scrapbook.  I’ve always suggested to any newbies to scrapbooking that they start small.  This mini scrapbook is 10 pages, each 5.5×4.25 – so I don’t think you could go much smaller and still call it a scrapbook!  The most difficult part is trying not to overwhelm anybody with too much of anything.  Starting on suggested layouts now and hope to publish the completed video and project mid-week.   6×6 was always my recommended scrapbook size for beginners, so I’m also working on a 6×6 flip scrapbook construction in an article format (no video, no kit).  Consider it the next step in a scrapbookers evolution.   Personally, I wish they would come out with 16×16 format scrapbooks, cardstocks and papers…. hahahaha.

If all the elements in the photograph aren’t enough – I’m creating some add on’s as well that will be available – “Buttons and Bows” and “Glitz”.   Hope everyone is at least thinking about the holidays… the days are getting shorter!
